Lesson learned this week: BE FLEXIBLE.
In last week's post I talked about the foundation being poured this week. This didn't happen, but will be pushed to next week. No big deal, but there were some kinks in the schedule. Stay tuned for more unexpected kinks, but in the meantime; this week was still super productive. We also got to eat an the wonderful Italian restaurant that everyone in Farmersville boasts about...I totally get why now! YUM! We're slowly but surely converting to the Farmersville way of life.
-Sand was delivered for cushioning the piers and form boards. Sand is expensive, by the way.
-Cables were delivered for foundation.
-Piers were drilled AND filled with concrete.
-Trenches were dug for the plumber to do his magic on Monday.
-Everything is ready for the electrician to come out.
The kids typically run around and play on the land, but I had to quarantine them to the SUV because I did not want any ER visits. These holes dug for the piers were 20 feet deep and looked pretty intimidating on our property...not to mention there were 45 of them. That's right folks, our house is NOT moving an iota. We're going to beat the black soil shift.
