August Date Night

Yesterday I dropped off the kids at my sister's house in Keller, because I have a workshop to go to today, and Shawn is busy with football. So, when Shawn got off yesterday, we decided we should take advantage of this time together and go on our date night for the month. Normally we try to go to places we wouldn't normally eat at, but Chili's had some new entrees and desserts that we wanted to try, so we dined in there. After Chili's we took a nice stroll around Downtown McKinney and then we headed to the movie theater to watch Journey to the Center of the Earth with Brendan Fraser. The Copeland's give it two thumbs up! We really did have a fabulous evening together. I would really like to start utilizing our Simple Romantic Night's Box put out by Focus on the Family and many Christian authors, counselors, etc. We've only used the box about three times, but we both like drawing the cards and preparing the surprise monthly date for the other person. A lot of preparation and thought go into these dates! Because of time and Shawn's busy schedule, we obviously just did your typical dinner and a movie night, but sometimes, that's really all you need :)
