December of 06' was Faith's very first Christmas...she'd just missed December 05' by nineteen days. Shawn and I decided that every Christmas we would stock up on board games. We started with all the My First Games series for ages 3 and up, followed by some other games that were 6 and up.
Well, my baby girl is going to be three in two months from today, so this weekend we decided to start playing her first board game. She chose Candy Land, which I was not at all surprised by...all the colors and characters, who could pass up that game? Faith did really good, everytime she drew a card she would move her red little gingerbread girl on the appropriate color. It was so hilarious when she drew the cards to move double colors...the excited expression on her face was priceless. And, she won...she beat me with the "luck of the draw." When it was time to put up the game she gave each gingerbread character a kiss and a hug before putting them back in the box. Shawn and I look forward to family game time in the future with both of the kiddos! Maybe we'll try out Chutes and Ladders this weekend!
