3...2...1...BLAST OFF

This week Faith went "to the moon" with her Pre-K classmates. For homework, we were asked to make a moon kit for Faith to show to her fellow travel companions. We were asked to write a letter from home, include a picture of our family (because they would miss us from being gone so long), and a snack for the big trip. We included a family picture that we took this summer for the McKinney Lion football program, and sat down and wrote her a sweet little letter. We told her that we hope she was enjoying her trip to the moon and closed with the verse from Hebrews 11:3 (By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible). For the snack, I hunted everywhere for moon pies, but had no luck. So, Faith got stuck with having a Milky Way and a Three Musketeer bar (mini-sized)...what a bummer! :) We also let her take her new favorite Dora book, Zoom to the Moon, with her to show. We enjoyed doing the project and are happy to report that our little astronaut made it home safely.

I love that you included such a perfect verse! You're creative and intentional, I love it.

I also love the snack ideas! I so wouldn't have thought of that!
