Shawn and I had a hard decision to make last week, but with the help of the Lord, we were able to finalize our decision. When we moved to McKinney we found out that McKinney ISD had preschool for MISD employees' children. We were told the waiting list was pretty long, so we went ahead and put Faith on there, and, a couple of months later put Jaxon on the waiting list, as well.
Last week I received an email saying that an opening became available for Faith at the McKinney-Boyd campus (the newest high school that practically looks like a college campus). We weren't 100% on what to do because we really love the school she and Jaxon currently attend--I was taking the "if it ain't broke don't fix it," frame of mind. Well, I made a visit to the pre-school and Shawn and I weighed out all the pros and cons...
All this to say, Faith officially started Pre-K today. We thought this would be the perfect time to move her since her other school was about to move her into the three-year old room with new teachers anyway. Since we've made our decision we've been telling Faith that she would be going to a new school today, but I don't think it has quite set in. I can't wait to pick her up today to hear all about her new adventures and friends. The best part of this all is that next school year, Faith will be able to ride with her daddy everyday to school (one of the pros).
On Friday, we said goodbye to her two favorite teachers but it was hard because my eyes started watering and so did theirs. I told Miss April and Miss Whitney that we would definitely be visiting, especially since Jaxon is about to get moved over to their room :)
