Our Eventful Weekend

The weather was absolutely gorgeous this weekend...it just leaves me begging for summer more and more each day. This weekend we drove to Plano to take our annual bluebonnet pictures. I just love bluebonnets--I remember getting my picture made in them when I was younger. So, yes, we have an album specifically for our bluebonnet pictures. I know, call me crazy!! After bluebonnets, we ate a yummy dinner at new Chuy's in Plano...DE-LISH!

So pretty!Getting two kids to look at the camera at the same time can be difficult--this is the best we could do!
Below was some entertainment for the kids while we waiting on our table at Chuy's.
Sunday, we went to church and heard a great sermon (as usual) from Chuck Swindoll. After lunch and naps, I went up to my school to meet the Co-FCA Sponsor to take our FCA kids to the MAVS game. What a great game...some things occurred that don't happen at every NBA game one attends. #1-Josh Howard made a shot from the opposing side's free throw line with 1.7 seconds left in the game-AMAZING. 2-In that game Jason Kidd broke Magic Johnson's assist record, putting him in the top three assist leaders in NBA history. 3-Some randomly chosen guy made a lay-up, free-throw, three-pointer and half court shot (all on the first try), and won 3,000 to The Dump for furniture. 4-This game was also the highest scoring game for the Mavs thus far. Needless to say, the whole experience was very engrossing. Also, if I may add, it was great to see ex-Mavs player, Steve Nash. Something tells me he might catch up, if not surpass, Jason Kidd in that assist record. And, it was fun to watch Shaq play, as well. His shoe size has to be at least an eighteen or nineteen-WOW!!
Before getting home, I stopped by the store and bought ice cream and sugar cones. Why did I think it would be a good idea to give our kids ice cream 30 minutes before bedtime? They laughed and talked for at least an hour before actually visiting Mr. Sandman! You live and you learn, I guess!
