Golfing and Bass Pro

Saturday was so yucky outside, but we battled the rain and went out anyway. Faith and Jaxon entertained us with the, Rain, Rain, Go Away, song for the first part of our drive. As the summer time is quickly approaching, we decided to get Shawn his own set up golf clubs. Since we live on a golf course it's a pretty logical thing to do :) We went to several little golfing stores this weekend and practiced on some short and long range hits. It wasn't the prettiest sight on my part, but, I'm up next for my own set of left-handed clubs. If I don't hit anyone this summer, I will have definitely met a huge goal already. After our golfing adventures ended, we decided to travel to Grapevine's Bass Pro Shop to eat at Uncle Buck's. Shawn had been to this place several times during coaching clinics and highly recommended it, and he was right; it was VERY good. At noon they were supposed to feed the fish at Bass Pro, but no one ever came out. I guess it was okay because the kids didn't know any different, and had a fun time checking out all the aquarium life.

Waiting for daddy to bring us some more umbrellas from out of the car.
Shawn and his new Walter Hagen clubs...he's so proud :)

This place has the best burger that Shawn has ever put in his mouth...it's called the Buffalo Burger on the menu. I took a tiny bite, as eating buffalo meat grossed me out, and it was pretty darn good. Never judge a book by its cover, or, in this case, by its name.
The ambiance of this place was just as the above picture looks, very dim. We did have a nice, peaceful lunch, though.Faith was pretty obsessed with the automated hand-dryer, she seriously did not want to leave the bathroom. Maybe we should install a couple of these bad babies in our next house :)
