Queen For a Day...

Happy Mother's Day to all my friends and family!! Actually, Shawn and the kids make me feel like a queen everyday-I am blessed beyond measure. It's just that today had a little more emphasis than others, obviously :)

This morning, Shawn and the kids made me some yummy breakfast. Faith and Jaxon had each made me something at school, and Shawn bought me some of my favorite dessert and a DVD. I also got my new cell phone a week ago from Shawn, and we are sleeping like babies on the new mattress he bought us--thank you, Sleep Experts and Shawn. The card was my favorite thing--words mean a lot to me. Later this afternoon we went to my sister's apartment and celebrated Mother's Day. We BBQ-ed out at the pool and watched the kids play in the water park. We were all completely spoiled and had a wonderful, relaxing day. It was so sweet of my oldest sister, Maria, who is not yet a mother, to give us such a wonderful day. I am looking forward to her being a mother one day soon-she'll be absolutely amazing. Here she is below with all her nieces and nephews (minus Evan and Jenna), we missed them today!!

We will definitely be making more trips to Aunt Maria's new apartment. The big pool is on the other side and this little kids' play area was an absolute hit. This is Mason and Marilyn playing around before my kids got ready to jump in.

When we got home, we all took naps. Shawn let me sleep in while he watched the kids and cooked dinner. Shawn is such a good cook-I really felt pampered. Thanks honey!
