Tonight, we were once again defeated by Highland Park in the first round of playoffs. We were doing awesome the first half of the game...keeping ahead the entire time, and then the unexpected happen and we just let it slip away. Every year this is always a bittersweet situation for me. I want the boys to advance to the next round of playoffs, but on the other hand, I want my husband home, too. So, in the spirit of Thanksgiving, I am thankful for a successful season and for the growth of Shawn in the sport he loves to coach the most--FOOTBALL! I am also thankful that Shawn coaches ONLY football this year...no other sports for us...nada, zilch, nothing! Congrats and Good Luck to all of our coaching friends still competing in the next round of playoffs...especially Sulphur Springs and JT!!
