This year, Faith and her other dancing friends performed to, Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer. The day before, Faith had rehearsals, and her facial expressions were absolutely hilarious. She is the only one in the Tuesday class for her age, so she basically gets a private class every Tuesday. The other girls she performed with also have a private class on a different day. When Faith got on the big stage for her first time, she looked around at those girls like, what the heck are you doing here? But then, as soon as they started doing the same dance; I think she figured out that things would be okay. She also had rehearsals in front of a crowd of people; so that was definitely new to her. Last year, we took dance through her little school, and the only people present were the parents and families of those specific kids. This year, she takes dance and tap through Taylor Dance; at any given time, the auditorium was packed as there were many different age groups and numbers going on. We're so glad they had rehearsals before the big day. For the winter recitals, the smaller girls wear what they normally wear to practice, but in the spring; they get to wear the glittery, full-blown costumes. What have we gotten ourselves in to? Below are pictures from the actual performance. We have footage of Faith's performance; we're just waiting for Shawn to put it through his DSV equipment before actually uploading it to the blog.
I had to get a quick picture at the house before her curls fell out...we did sponge rollers for a couple of hours because our hot rollers decided to throw in the towel. Time to buy some new ones!
