When Faith was two years old, I bought a keyboard and a color-coded piano book for her to play with. Once in a blue moon she would play on it and we would practice the different songs and lessons the book provided us with. The keyboard has been MIA for over a year now and I'm sure the book has accumulated a thick coat of dust. Needless to say, when I found out that our talented, choir teacher gave private lessons after school; we jumped on the opportunity. Faith was on a waiting list for a short period of time, but not for too long. Today was her first day, and she had such a great time. On the way home she kept saying, "Oh Mr. Jared, I'm ready to play the piano again!" I was very pleased with how quickly she picked up on everything Jared taught her today. She actually played the first four notes of a song, entitled, Lazy Lion, all by herself. Here's what she learned today and what we'll be practicing on until our next lesson.
-Finger Numbers
-Flower Fisting
-Twins/Triplets (Black Keys)
-Quarter Notes/Half Notes
This picture is not the best as it was taken with my cell phone.
Mr. Jared and Faith (working on her finger numbers).
We are house-hunting these days, so I'll be making sure whatever house we buy will have room for a piano.

That's great! We have a piano that Aaron had as a little boy and it's always so sweet to see Landon up there playing with his Daddy!
I'm sure she'll do great with piano! Russ has been taking for 2 years and I love all that he's been learning. It's been such a great experience.
