Celebration Through Scripture

Faith completed her first year of being an AWANA cubbie. As a parent, it brings me great joy knowing that she is memorizing and using scripture in her life daily. She can't get enough of God's Word, and I can only hope and pray that she one day accepts Jesus Christ as her personal Savior, so His Word will penetrate her soul and spirit.

Faith was honored at church tonight for memorizing THIRTY-FIVE verses from the Bible. That is pretty amazing for a four-year old if I do say so myself. But, the teacher in me is not only excited that these verses are memorized, but more importantly, that she truly understands what each verse means. If someone is down; she'll quote scripture to lift them up. If someone says they can't do something; she says they can do ALL things through Christ. She's our walking-Bible.

Faith, we are so proud of you and your accomplishments this year in AWANA.

Always remember this:

-God's Word is a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your path. Psalm 119:105
-The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the Word of your God stands forever. Isaiah 40:8

Sharing the Banana Royale from Baskin Robbins with her daddy.
And, we definitely can't wait for this sweet boy to be a cubby next year--I'm pretty sure he already knows all the verses from his sister quoting them all the time.

So fun to see kids excited about learning more about God! Don't you wish they had things like this for us grown ups!!! I think we would be so cute in the blue vest!
