Jesus, Healer of our Wounds

Faith and Jaxon have been coming home lately talking about friends that have hurt their feelings. Sometimes they say ugly things, sometimes they won't share, and other times we experience the occasional slap on the arm or pulling of the hair. When we purchased, Bedtime Blessings by Dr. John Trent (published by Focus on the Family); the Holy Spirit jogged my memory, and I remembered seeing a lesson entitled, Scabs. Tonight we talked about how a scab is sort of like a natural bandage, and how Jesus puts those scabs on our boo-boos to keep the blood in and the germs out. The kids showed me all their scabs--I mean, all of them! Then, we talked about how Jesus is the only one who can help our hurt feelings. So, before our bedtime prayer; we put "bandages" on each of their hearts; knowing that the Lord will mend the wounds.

For I will restore your health to you and heal all of your wounds. Jeremiah 30:17
