So Long, Farewell....

Today was such a beautiful day...a perfect day to set our butterflies free. What a great lesson of patience, transformation, and true beauty we've experienced with our butterfly friends. The kids were sad to see them go, but I told them that we'd maybe see them again soon-that seemed to appease them. We didn't get the best fly-away pictures, as the butterflies were eager to get out into their new habitat. When we watched the butterflies flutter their wings...I couldn't help but to think of the, "I'll Fly Away," hymn that we've been singing around our house lately.

I'll Fly Away

Some glad morning when this life is o'er,
I'll fly away;
To a home on God's celestial shore,
I'll fly away.

[Chorus]
I'll fly away, Oh Glory
I'll fly away;
When I die, Hallelujah, by and by,
I'll fly away.

When the shadows of this life have gone,
I'll fly away;
Like a bird from prison bars has flown,
I'll fly away.

[Chorus]
I'll fly away, Oh Glory
I'll fly away; (in the morning)
When I die, Hallelujah, by and by,
I'll fly away (I'll fly away).

Just a few more weary days and then,
I'll fly away;
To a land where joy shall never end,
I'll fly away (I'll fly away)

[Chorus]
I'll fly away, Oh Glory
I'll fly away;
When I die, Hallelujah, by and by,
I'll fly away.

Faith made sure she was wearing her butterfly dress and holder from Gymboree.
