A Day with the Gillaspie Girls

What a fun-filled day we had! Our morning started off with playing at the Village Depot in Allen--it was pretty hot outside with an occasional breeze, but our kiddos managed to meander their way through the big, red caboose, four playhouses and the Texas maze. Jen and I definitely got our exercise for the morning. After a little sweat, some red cheeks, and thirsty kiddos; we headed to Downtown McKinney for lunch at Spoons. Upon entering, we were stopped by Giselle Phelps from TV-33 news for an impromptu interview about a newlywed couple from Plano who decided not to use plastic for an entire year. They've got a pretty interesting blog that I've been reading if you want to check it out. As being mothers of two young children each, it was easy to see that we both we're pretty sure that this wouldn't work for us. After our claim to fame experience, we enjoyed a nice lunch and then a quick visit to the townhouse for the kids to play some more. Thanks girls for travelling our way...we had a blast!
