I've told Shawn several times already that this has got to be the most rainy, summer break. Oh, but I'm counting my blessings as the rain has brought in some nice, cool breezes, and I don't feel like a heat stroke is coming on. Today we let the kids play around in the rain. I took a moment to just enjoy hearing their laughs and not worrying about how wet/dirty their clothes were. Faith was so excited to play in the rain that she neglected to button/zip up her pants...and down they went. It's the simple things that bring them and us so much joy.
You sent abundant rain, O God, and refreshed the weary land. Psalms 68:9
