When You're Afraid

This summer, we've been working through a book of devotions with Faith and Jaxon. The other evening we did a devotional about being afraid. This came at such a great time seeing as we've had thunderstorms and our own rooms to get used to this summer. The passage we read came from Matthew 8:25-27, when the disciples were afraid of the storm, and Jesus ordered the winds and waves to stop. When we completed the devotional, we went downstairs and each of the kids drew and colored their own boats. We hung their drawings in each of their rooms to serve as a reminder that Jesus is with us when we are afraid.
