The year of 2011 was a good year for our family, our dream house was built, our little girl started Kindergarten, God's provision continued to be upon us, and our family served together on mission in Port Arthur, Texas. We interviewed Faith and Jaxon to hear about some of their favorite things from the year.
I've also linked up with Ryan Hargrave's blog and we're doing Project Scripture...one verse for every week of 2012. I've already wrote this week's verse on my mirror in the bathroom.
We sat down and talked about our New Year Resolutions, as well.
This evening we got together with our traditional crew, the Bookouts and the Hylanders...we missed the McCains as they were out of town, but we had some other visitors come over as well, Amanda Ray, her brother Jake (Shawn used to coach him), Darren's parents (Larry and Brenda), and our good friends, Darrick and Brittany Ware with Baby Jericho. We had so much fun eating and visiting. After dessert, we headed outside for our first, firework show in our new backyard...although I thought the fireworks were a bit puny for what we paid; the kids had a blast, clapping after each firework. Shawn and Darren gave us a fun finale, too! The kids played some more and started coloring on a giant, 4 ft. house, while the adults played Catch Phrase and Taboo. We thoroughly enjoyed ringing in the new year with sweet friends!
