Go and Be Weekend

Every April our church does a big "Go and Be" Weekend.  Last year, our family did the huge, McKinney,  Garage Giveaway.  The kids helped me organize toys and games, while Shawn brought in loads of boxes and other items off of drop-off trucks.  This year, we decided to participate in the Grace2Go part of the weekend.  After meeting homeless guys on our mission trip last year, our kids are very aware that there are people in this world that don't have homes, food, clothes, toys, etc.  So, after the rally service, we joined others in helping to pack up cleaning supplies and food that were delivered to over 300 families in need all around the area today.  We joined in on the assembly lines and got busy working.  After all was said and done, we let the kids have a small snack, while Shawn and I started writing small notes to the people that would be receiving the food and cleaning supplies today.  We are truly blessed!

We put produce and bread in bags so they could be loaded on the delivery trucks.

The next assembly line was the cleaning supplies, you grabbed your bucket and made your way through until you had one of each item in your bucket.

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
 Acts 1:8
