Happy Father's Day

This guy is truly amazing, and I am so blessed to have him as the father of our children.  For someone who grew up without a father, you would never guess it, with the fabulous daddy he is on a day-to-day basis.  Faith and Jaxon, if you don't already know, your father loves you, dreams big for you, and is your biggest fan...you will see as you get older that you are beyond blessed to have this man in your life, whom you love to call DAD!

Our morning started out with present opening.  Faith wrapped up her, Let's go on a Daddy Date, book by Tim McGrew, gave him a dime and two pennies, a bookmark and stickers, and two sweet notes.  Jaxon gave him a card with a keychain of his face that he made at school.  For breakfast we ate at Braums...Shawn loves their biscuits and gravy, and for lunch we ate at McAlister's Deli...Shawn got a free, Colossal Carrot Cake for being a dad!

I had the below picture enlarged and put in a frame for Shawn's desk.  Taking this picture was very tricky...because we live so close to the lake, we always get a continuous, gentle breeze (no complaints here).  But, it was hard to get the kids to hold the posterboard still, so, this was our end product.  Shawn loved it!

Filling these out with the kids was absolutely hilarious.  We learned that neither of our kids, despite the fact that we go to football games every year, know that Shawn is a coach.  Jaxon thought that he just works out at school...Faith was a little more on point when she said that he helps people.    What makes daddy the best?  Faith said, "He does stuff for us like says, "Get up, you're fine, shake it off."  Jaxon said, "He has a big finger that I can hold, he plays with me and loves me."  Some of their favorite things to do with Shawn include, playing UNO (Jaxon), going on Daddy-Daughter Dates and Dances (Faith).  Sweet babies!  On Saturday, we did a little bit of shopping with Shawn, too!

We had a blast celebrating the man of our house today!  Happy Father's Day!
