Trolley Time

Mister Rogers has nothing on our little trolley adventure we had today around uptown Dallas.  None of us had ever been on a trolley before, much less seen these parts of Dallas.  When we boarded the Matilda trolley, the kids were fascinated by the seats with no seat belts, and enjoyed watching Robert drive.  I was enthralled by the history of this particular trolley we were on.  It was born in Melbourne, Australia and transported Dwight Eisenhower and General Douglas MacArthur during WWII.  Years later, they were about to kick this trolley to the curb, but Dallas, purchased and refinished it for the McKinney Authority Transit.  The weather was perfect with cloud coverage and a nice, light breeze, so we didn't have to worry about the sun being in our eyes.  It was a beautiful day in the neighborhood, indeed.
