Three Kings Ranch

Almost two years ago, my parents bought land (55 acres, to be exact) out in Antlers, Oklahoma, Deer Capitol of the World.  Shame on us for waiting this long to make a trip out here!  We had such and fun and relaxing time.   My parents hope to sell their beautiful home in Keller one day and build a permanent home out here.  I sat in my first deer blind EVER, and got to see two does and two bucks up close, until Brad's cell phone went off...he forgot to put it on silent!  The deer are young and still have about four years until they are hunted, but for now the goal is to shoot the wild boars that keep getting on the property. Ham anyone?  Unfortunately, I never got to see one and Shawn and Brad got zero shooting time in tonight.  Mom put the kids to bed and us adults stayed outside catching up and laughing about anything and everything until almost 1 A.M.  Now we have a little getaway that's only an hour and a half away from our home.  We hope to make many more visits out to Antlers.  But, for now, let me show you around...

This is where Faith and Jax spent most of their time.

View of the camper and where we spent most of our time.

This reminds me of Wizard of Oz...but here's the Butler sisters and their married last names.

The blind...I felt like Linus waiting for the Great Pumpkin!

Welcome to the Sugar Shack...it's really just storage for the four wheelers and lawn mowers.

Mom's garden-she has it all in here and is getting ready to harvest real soon.

All the grandkids

This is where the bulk of their acreage is, but we didn't venture down there too much.

Wild sand plums

Here's what the motion camera caught over the last two weeks...the boars haven't come to visit lately, but we've had some other friends say hello.
This house cat keeps all the snakes and mice away.

Baby turkey

Some of the deer...my mom has named them all.

We see you, raccoon!
