Tonight, we drove in from Longview, unloaded everything, and went to our Christmas Eve Service...it was so joyful and moving like it is every year. Faith and Jaxon asked a lot of questions about communion as they saw us partake. They loved getting to hold their own, lit candle this year while we sang praises to our King. I love the nativity scene that is set out at the front of the church...so pretty!
When we got home, we completed our, A Meaningful Christmas, devotional. We all learned so much and we can't wait to continue this tradition each and every year. I think next year I might buy a small tree to put them on, but this worked just fine for this year.
Shawn always reads, The Night Before Christmas, to the kids...
Jaxon set out the milk and cookies, we said our goodbyes to Fred (our Deer on his Rear). Some of you know that the day after Thanksgiving we told Faith the truth about Santa. She did a great job of keeping it a secret from her school friends and Jaxon, and will continue to do so. She was such a big helper with Fred and keeping the magic alive for Jaxon. We plan on telling him the truth after next year's Thanksgiving.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a Goodnight!!!
