AVID Banquet

Shawn was given the wonderful opportunity to be the Freshman AVID teacher this year at MHS.  He has really enjoyed this group of kiddos this year, and they all will go very far in life.  All of them plan on attending college.  I even got a chance to go on an AVID field trip with the AVID students and Shawn earlier in the Spring to TCU.  Tonight, we attended the banquet at El Dorado Country Club.  I loved seeing all the seniors get awarded tons of scholarship money for college.  The slideshow at the end made my cry and none of these children even belong to me.  It was a very fun and rewarding evening.
