If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. James 1:5
Well, I am four teeth short these days and no longer have my wisdom teeth...thankfully having those teeth don't determine our true wisdom which is given to us from God. Most of my friends had their wisdom teeth taken out when they were teenagers. I guess I'm a little behind, but they've never bothered me, and I've always been able to reach back there with my toothbrush. But when my Baylor dentist told me it was time to get rid of them to be proactive and save myself some pain later on in life; I made my appointment rather quickly.
My surgery was on Monday and I'll admit, I've never been knocked out before, so I was a bit nervous. But, as soon as they put that IV in...I was out, dead to the world! They had trouble waking me up and had to wheel me out of the hospital. I don't remember anything, but Shawn told me some pretty funny stories and even took silly pictures of me (I will not be posting those).
The recovery has been GREAT. Shawn didn't even have to fill the most potent pain medication. I did not swell at all and I was off of the soup diet after the first day. I am so thankful because I've heard way too many horror stories. Luckily my wisdom teeth were above the gum line and they didn't have to be cut out. Praise the Lord!
