A Delve into TWELVE

We decided to celebrate our anniversary this evening on a Saturday, rather than on our actual anniversary that fell on a Sunday this year.  I had already committed to singing at both services at church, and Sunday afternoons are lazy for our household.  Our plans included going Babe's Chicken in Frisco and then to head to the theater to see a movie.  When we got a Babes, there was an hour wait (they don't take reservations or call-aheads), so we just decided to hang tight and wait.  Next door there was the Heritage Museum, so we took a stroll around the outside log home and the gazebo that was lit up with Christmas lights.  We made our way back into the waiting area of Babes and even though it was outside, they had some nice heaters cranked that made us comfortable.  I enjoyed our adult conversation, people watching, and just being in the arms of the one I love.  Finally, our name was called and we dined on some delicious food...family style!  I loved reading all the signs the restaurant was adorned with...some were quite comical.  There was a giant picture of Elvis and a jute box that was playing an Elvis song, which I found pretty ironic seeing as Elvis' birthday and our anniversary share the same date.  We thoroughly enjoyed the food and hope to bring our kids there next time as we dined on some of their favorites, and we think they would like going through the museum (it was closed when we got there).  We knew there was no hope to see a movie since a new set of movies had already started as we were paying the cashier.  So, we drove around Frisco Square and watched the Christmas lights as they were synchronized to 99.9 FM.  For dessert, we headed to Allen and hit up Cheesecake Factory, but there was a thirty-minute wait, so we opted to order our cheesecake to-go.  Happy Anniversary to us!
