Mother's Day Weekend...

I wholeheartedly believe that you don't truly understand what Mother's Day is all about until you become a mother yourself. This is my third Mother's Day I have celebrated and I think with each year I feel more and more blessed to be a mother.

On Friday morning, Faith and Jaxon's daycare had Muffins for Mom, so we got to daycare extra early so I could eat with them. It was so cute how they had everything all set up and special for the mommies! Faith was so excited to hand me the Mother's Day card that she made for me...she begged for me to open it right then and there...to see her get that excited was so cute!

On Saturday morning, we went to this little area next to the Rockwall Wedding Chapel and just snapped a few pictures of the kids. I thought with the old, antique, rustic look, that those would make some cute little pictures. Shawn got home on Saturday afternoon from Austin...his track athlete got 3rd in the State in the 400 meter dash...the first boy to go to State in Rockwall-Heath history...as if they've been around for so long :) Later that evening, I left Shawn and the kids, and went to The Curtain Club to watch my brother and his band, Kaldera, perform. They've performed there once already, but Gorilla Records has an eye on them, and they were asked to come back. I'm so proud of my brother and his musical talents. John has worked hard to write all of their songs, but when it comes to playing the guitar, he has a true, natural talent. We have quite the musical family!!

Today, we headed over to my sister's house in Lewisville to celebrate Mother's Day. We grilled and sat by the pool...it was so nice!!! We had a great weekend!!!
