Rockwall-Heath Sports Banquet

Tonight Shawn and I went to the Spring Athletic Banquet at RHHS. One of the Rockwall-Heath cheerleaders and her friend came to babysit the kids! We had such a great time!! The booster club catered in BBQ and some really yummy desserts. It was so moving to see what a positive influence Shawn has upon these kids that he coaches. I know teachers have the power to impact many, many lives. When you teach AND coach, it is like double dipping into a child's life--it's all about what you make of it. So many kids and parents came up to Shawn hugging him and shaking his hand. I felt very proud of the positive, Christian role-model he is for these kids. I honestly miss coaching at times, but I know my calling, for now, is mothering my two babies.
