Father's Day Weekend

Shawn arrived home on Friday evening from San Angelo and we were very excited to see him! It seemed like he was gone for an eternity! We were supposed to head to Longview, but we changed our plans. So, on Saturday morning we woke up, got the kids ready, and had a nice family breakfast at IHOP! If I could eat there for breakfast every morning, I would, but I probably wouldn't look the same after gaining all those pounds. After our nice breakfast we headed out to the park. Shawn and I played Frisbee Golf, while the kids were pulled in the wagon par by par. We left just in time, because the rain started to come down and it hit pretty hard. From there, we headed to Borders in Mesquite. I had a giftcard and wanted to stock up on some Melissa and Doug summer activities for the kids. On Sunday, we went to church, and then took Shawn out to eat for lunch. Faith and I attempted to make a Father's Day tie cake for Shawn...not exactly our best work, but Faith had fun and it tasted really good!! We made his favorite...strawberry shortcake!
