Okay, so I tried to match the blog's title to the great Boardwalk song by the Drifters....
With that being said, this weekend we headed to Longview to spend some time with Shawn's family. Shawn's brother, Brendon, turned sixteen, so he is officially legal behind the wheel. On Saturday, we loaded up and headed to Shreveport, LA to have some fun at the Boardwalk. We had a great time! We rented the kids a "car" double stoller, so number 99 saw most all of the boardwalk...Faith and Jaxon loved "driving" around. We had a nice lunch at Fuddruckers; the kids loved the cheese that you can dip your fries in...so healthy, I know! I also had a nice time shopping for the kids...as if they don't have enough clothes already!!
The two above pictures were just our views from the Boardwalk overlooking the Red River.
Trolleys were going all day long to take people to their shopping destinations.

It's hard to believe that he's sixteen. I've been with Shawn since he was four years old--man I'm getting old!Jaxon napped on the way back from Louisiana, so Faith napped when we got home. While Faith was napping, we let Jaxon play in the pool that Grandma Sheryl bought for the backyard. This picture was before he actually started playing, but you could tell he was excited and really thinking about all of this.

I love going to that boardwalk. There are so many fun things to do! Hope your summer is going well. I'm going to miss you terribly!!!!
