Faith's Phraseology

I've been meaning to blog about the cutest things that Faith has been saying lately, but I keep forgetting! So, here we go!

A couple of weeks ago I heard Shawn teaching Faith how to read the digital clock. This came very easy for her because she's known her numbers for quite sometime now--she'll never escape that with her daddy being a huge mathematician. The following, however, was not expected. Faith usually never gets out of her bed until we come in to get her. Well, Shawn was in the kitchen cooking breakfast and Faith snuck over to our bedroom while I was still sleeping. I guess there's a first time for everything! She tapped me ever-so-gently on the shoulder and said, "It's seven-four-two, mommy, wake-up!" How could I not wake up to that sweet voice...it was better than waking up to aroma of breakfast in bed! She just smiled and laughed and ran into the kitchen with her daddy and said, "Whatsup daddy, did you have a good sleep?"

She talks so well these days, that I have to remind myself that she's two and not five when speaking to her. I look forward to her diction each and everyday as something new tends to come out of her mouth. Her newest thing to say is, "Oh mommy, I'm so proud and glad!" She tends to say this when I've finished all of my food or completed some task around the house--so funny!

She says her first name all the time, but it's hilarious to hear how she says our last name--CLOPLAN--as if we own several horses or something...clop...clop...clop!

I'm sure as she gets older we'll be confirming what Bill Cosby always says~~Kids say the Darndest Things!
