Today was such a nice day. We didn't have anything planned for the bulk of the day, so we just hung out at home and vegged out. We did look forward to having our friends from college come over later on that evening. For most of the morning a cardboard box was Faith and Jaxon's biggest entertainment. I've said it before and I'll say it again...I'm not sure why we even bother to buy toys! After hours of fun with the box, Faith decided that her baby needed to be read to. Not sure where she gets that from :) It was so cute hearing her "read" to her baby doll. After reading a page, she would ask her doll little comprehension questions. It was absolutely hilarious! The kids took their naps and I took advantage of that time to finish my book, The Coaches Wife, by Carolyn Allen. Her husband, Randy Allen, is one the winningest coaches in the State of Texas, and currently coaches at Highland Park. After finishing my book I watched my two favorite game shows...JEOPARDY and MILLIONAIRE. Yes, I am a HUGE, nerdy trivia buff! Sometimes I wonder how much space I could free up in my mind if I didn't know some of this trivial information! Anyway, there are slots of my day that are filled due to these two game shows coming on...I know...ridiculous! Later on that evening, our friends, Jeremy and Amy, came over with their adorable kids, Mattie and Brayden. We let the kids play while we visited and ate dinner. After our food settled we headed out to the swimming pool. We had a lot of fun and we are glad we live closer to them!
