This week we took a little vacation to Galveston. Faith was so excited as she talked about going to the beach all week long! I think all her little cartoon friends on Noggin really "pumped" her up. The kids did much better than I had expected on the five-hour trip there and back. I was extremely pleased and I feel more confident in taking a longer vacation next summer. We spent most of our time at Moody Gardens Resort where we ventured to the Aquarium and Rainforest pyramids, and then we watched Dinosaurs Alive in 3D at the IMAX theater. Moody Gardens was like its own little get-away outside of Galveston, and it was nice to know there were more things to do than just hang out at the beach (even though we had a blast there, too). Faith and Jaxon both loved the water and really did not want to leave. They also loved playing with their sand toys on land, too! In the evening, after eating until we were stuffed, we rented the little surrey bikes, and took the kids out for a ride on Seawall Boulevard. They absolutely loved that, and Shawn and I got a bit of exercise while biking our babies for three miles! We truly had a magnificent time, and it was so nice to get away for a while. Now we're back in good old McKinney, and, There's No Place Like Home!!! Here's some pictures from the ENTIRE vacation!
She's such a daddy's girl! In the picture below, Faith and her daddy found a friend.
He had so much fun in the dirt and also found it quite appetizing, too! I guess boys will be boys!
She's getting so big...
I love how he has his little arm around her...or at least he's trying :)
Snoozing on the way back home to McKinney..
