Well, today I drove from McKinney to Rockwall in hopes to attend the three-day TALA conference put on by Rockwall ISD. Long story short, even though my name was on the list, I was not permitted to sit-in on the conference because I was not teaching sixth grade next year. LONG STORY, but not miscommunication on my part by no means. So, I was dismissed and said good-bye to all my ELA friends! Back to McKinney I drove...
So, we made a day of the morning (SNAMU--edited), and headed to the Northpark Mall. Faith and Jaxon had so much fun at the Puzzle Zoo store, and so did I :) It won't be long until the Copeland's will own a choo-choo train set from Thomas and Friends. After playing and walking around, we headed to the see Cody, the monkey, perform some tricks. This was some monkey...he could shoot hoops better than I ever could! Later on this evening, we got together with one of Shawn's ex-football players, Aaron. Ashley and Sydney (AKA-DR HORTON's daughters), came over, too! We went to watch Shawn coach 7-on-7 football, and ate at Saltgrass afterwards. Needless to say, Faith and Jaxon were up two hours past their bedtime...what a treat for them! We had a great day, despite the confusion this morning!
Until our next blog...
