This weekend the kids and I hung out in Hallsville. My Mimee and Pawpaw live there, and one of my dear old friends, Meagan, from high school just built out there several months ago. Meagan and I have known each other since the summer of our ninth grade year. We started out playing summer league basketball together...she was from Carthage and I was from Longview, but we never managed to get on the same team. Then one day during my sophomore year I spilled fruit punch all over my white Girbaud jeans during lunch, and had to make a quick trip to the nurse. Can you imagine what that looked like on white jeans--I was embarrassed. To my surprise, I saw Meagan and her mom, Mandy, standing there getting Meagan all registered to start attending L.H.S. This was the beginning of a great friendship! Through the years we've managed to keep up with each other through email, phone, Christmas cards, etc. But, everytime we wanted to get together...something always interfered! Since high school we both got married pretty young and we've had kids. Meagan and Chad have four precious children, Seth, Sawyer, Shepherd (Shep), and they recently received the blessing of their sweet little girl, Stella! Their family is complete! So, this weekend I headed over to Meagan's to see her in person for the first time in 10-1/2 years! WAY TOO LONG! Her new house is absolutely gorgeous, and we had such a great time watching the kids play and catching up on the good old days! Before we said good-bye, we promised not to let another 10 years go by-LOL! I was so glad to get to see her again!

A Lovely Two Days...
Earlier, before we went to Meagan's, we stopped by my Mimee and Pawpaw's house. So, obviously, my pictures are a little out of order :)
