Better Luck Next Time 'Bos...

This afternoon we went to the Floyd Casey Stadium (Baylor) to watch the Longview Lobos play the Lake Travis Cavaliers. Unfortunately we lost and the game was quite a disgrace. The final score was 48-23. Two of the main players got hurt, but it didn't even seem like we had an O-Line. The poor quarterback was getting sacked left and right and we just couldn't punch in the imperative touchdowns for this game. Our defense couldn't hang with LT's spread offense, either. I hope this is not going to be an every ten-year curse! On a positive note, it was nice seeing people that I grew up and went to school with. It was like a 1998 reunion all on its own! The fans were awesome and the same traditions still stand true today. I also got to see my friend, Ivy, that I went to college with. She just finished her Masters in Social Work at BU. God was able to use me to grow the seed of salvation in her life, and I was able to lead her to Christ in 2005. She hung out with us at El Chico for lunch before the big game started, and it was so good to see her.
