On Sunday we headed to "The View" to hang out with some family and friends...
Grandma Sheryl playing horsey with the kiddos before bed time...
This wrapping paper kept she and Jaxon busy all night long...why even bother buying toys?!?
A couple of hours after the kids went to bed Shawn and I snuck out and watched a movie together for our December date night. It was nice to have some time alone with my sweet husband.Fast forward to Monday--Shawn and I did some last minute shopping most of the morning. Longview was so CONGESTED--but that's what happens when you procrastinate! Later on that evening Shawn went and played basketball with his buddy Jason. When both boys got home, showered and got ready, we all headed to Dudley's for a feast. Below is a picture of me and Becca!! We had no kids, either, so it was nice to have some double-date, adult time!

On Tuesday, we hung around the house and then invited the Hylander Family to grill with us at Sheryl's place. We don't get to see our dear friends that much since they moved, so we were ecstatic to hang out with them and the kiddos! Jaedyn, their one-year old, stayed back with Elanna's mom, so she wasn't with us :(

Shawn and the kiddos in the morning...
Brayden, Jordyn, Jaxon and Faith...I love how Faith has her arm around her brother. She is so motherly! They are all looking at the singing snowman.Later on that evening we met up with my Mimee and Pawpaw from Hallsville and dined in at Johnny Casey's Seafood Restaurant. This is their absolute favorite place to eat at in Longview, so it wasn't a surprise to us that this is where they wanted to go. We were so lucky to get just a 15-20 minute wait because there was a party of two-hundred ahead of us--YIKES!

After Casey's we went Christmas light looking. I thought the kids might be tired of looking at lights because we've been around McKinney, Highland Park, and now WILDWOOD, but they loved it! My parents have been taking us to the Wildwood neighborhood since I was four, so I was glad to continue that same tradition with Faith and Jaxon.
They've been doing their house like this for at least three decades that I know of...what a perfect roof for Rudolph!
Amen!
