Christmas Eve

This morning we woke up bright and early and opened presents with Shawn's family. The kids had a good Christmas with Grandma Sheryl and Uncle Brendon. After a nice breakfast we headed back to McKinney today. Since we've been home we've made a birthday cake for Jesus, wrapped last minute gifts, sprinkled magic reindeer food in the grass for Santa's reindeer, had a visit from Santa, said farewell to Fred the reindeer, set out cookies and milk for Santa and Shawn read, The Night Before Christmas, like he does every year to the kids. We're looking forward to Christmas with my family tomorrow in Keller.

Making Jesus' Birthday cake...

The final product...Gingerbread Cake with Cream Cheese frosting...YUM!
Headed outside to sprinkle magical reindeer food on the grass for Santa's reindeer...
Santa came to visit...here's Faith on her way to hug him...Jaxon is in awe...
Santa explaining to Faith and Jaxon that he has to take Fred back to the North Pole...
Ho! Ho! Ho! This Night Before Christmas book is very old and sentimental-it was read to Shawn when he was a little boy.
The children were nestled all snug in their beds

While visions of sugar plums danced in their heads....

Merry Christmas to all and to all a Good Night!!
