I'm absolutely loving the start of my Spring Break...
I'm so glad Shawn has all the holidays/breaks off with me--I think we have too much fun sometimes :)
Jaxon's been using the potty since he was about seventeen months, but I didn't pursue for consistency because I wasn't ready. Another part of me was thinking, "You're my last baby...you need to wait a bit longer." Well, Mr. Jaxon will be two-years old in about a week, so potty training officially started today. We had no accidents at all and I was very pleased. The only difference between him and Faith is that Faith would always tell us she had to go...with Jaxon, we have to ask a million times. From there, he'll say yes or no (and he's right on the money). Here's our big boy now...he loves parading around in his big boy underwear, too.

This morning we were entertained by watching the kids "bowl" in the kitchen.
I told you Jaxon was excited about his big boy underwear...
After lunch and naps, we took Faith to Plano for her first rollerskating experience. She had so much fun and so did I. I felt like a kid again skating to all those songs. We skated to two full songs..Love Story by Taylor Swift and Dance Like There's No Tomorrow by Paula Abdul. After those songs we had to get off the rink because they were about to start a game of green light, red light. Remember that game? The kids enjoyed watching that! Shawn took Faith's skates off and put them on Jaxon...he LOVED those skates. Both Faith and Jaxon cried as we left the rink. I'm going to have to buy them those old-school, adjustable skates so we can skate outside at our house. What a great outing and we only paid five bucks!
And we're off...
Paula Abdul, you would be so proud...this girl was dancing AND skating like there was no tomorrow.
What the heck are these things on my feet?
No, Jaxon didn't really fall, this picture was so staged. Shawn thought it would be funny to post!Tonight for dinner I made homemade lasagna (it took me over an hour)...now I know why I buy the frozen junk! After dinner, Shawn and I decided to go out and spoil ourselves. We bought a Wii!! We've been playing for the last two hours, and, as I type, Shawn is still playing. I could blog forever about how much fun the Wii is, but I'll save you some reading time and just say that IT IS AWESOME! My Wii Fit should be here by Wednesday, so I am looking forward to getting that. If you know me, you know I am BIG TIME into any kind of trivia game or game show...we own Jeopardy on PlayStation II (I watch it on TV quite a bit). So far, I haven't found Jeopardy for the Wii, but that's okay because they just released Trivial Pursuit--so that will be my next purchase :) Yes, I know, I'm a nerd!

There is nothing cuter than a little boy bootie in big boy underwear! :-) I have pictures from our potty training and I think they're adorable! :-) Glad I'm not the only one. :-)
Looks like Faith did great on her first rollerskating trip! Both my boys cried at their first trips. They couldn't stay up, it hurt when they fell, etc. Now, Russ does awesome on rollerblades, but Randall is still a little hesitant. Good job, Faith! And, look at that skinny-minny mom! :-)
We have a Wii Fit and it's awesome! Have fun! :-)
