Today after library time, I allowed Faith and Jaxon to get some books to check out. Jaxon chose a Clifford book and Faith chose a book by Jamie Lee Curtis, Tell Me Again About the Night I Was Born. Tonight while we were reading, the book initiated some conversation and several questions from Faith. The kids (mainly Faith) decided they wanted to see pictures of when they were babies and in my tummy. So, I got out the albums and began showing them sonogram pictures, tummy pictures, and pictures of them just hours after their arrival.
I was amazed at both Faith and Jaxon's interest and curiosity. They were patting the pictures and just fell in love with the fact that they used to be newborn babies. It was hilarious to see and hear their little responses.
I'm sure this won't be the last time we do this, but at such a young age--it was truly priceless. The way they comprehended all of this in their own genuine way was a prodigious feat.
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.

How precious! I can't believe they're old enough to be asking those kinds of questions! Time is flying!
So sweet! Mine love to see pictures of when they were little, too. They refer to themselves as "Baby Russell" and "Baby Randall" like it's a different person or something. So sweet. :-)
