Call me a nerd, but Shawn and I still "celebrate" our dating anniversary. We don't do anything extravagant, but we do always recognize it and go out to dinner. July 21st is always so special because it is where our story began. It's funny, because I knew that Shawn liked me, yet I was so nervous to get involved in a relationship. All I cared about was keeping up my GPA and playing basketball. I had this mentality that I wasn't going to let anyone or anything interfere with that. God sure had bigger plans in the making, though. Each day I spent with Shawn was so blissful. Here we are all dressed and ready for the Hallsville prom, and just dating for almost a year in this picture. We were "Just Kids" as our families would say.
