When Daddy is Away...

....his wife and children will play! We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Shawn back home late this afternoon. The kids and I made Welcome Home posters, and I worked on a special project for him to put on his office desk. Aside from that, we've been doing little crafts here and there, hanging out at the house, and making some visits to see some friends.
Yesterday we travelled to Rockwall to swim and eat with some friends...here are the kiddos finishing up their lunch.

Here's my silly attempt to make a fort for the kids...Shawn would totally out-do me in fort architecture. I'm pretty sure they thought I was the coolest mom, despite my inabilities. Oh, and does anyone recognize Faith's outfit? Please ignore that Faith wants to wear this outfit ALL THE TIME...this is not the only attire of choice she has in her closet. She says that everytime she puts it on she feels like a princess. So, dance away my little princess!

Finished sun-catchers--for a two and three year old, I thought they did pretty good.

It has been our little tradition to go to Mom and Popcorn while Shawn is away at coaching school. This is like heaven for kids...a plethora of old-fashioned candy and popcorn--need I say more?
We couldn't decide on any one flavor, so we got Cornfetti, eight flavors in one bag, can't beat that.

We haven't played this game too much. Jaxon got it for his birthday, they love matching up the uppercase and lowercase letters--that's not really how you play the game, but whatever floats their boat...right?
