Meet the Teacher

This year we are super excited about school for Faith and Jaxon. McKinney ISD has their own childcare preschool program that is only for teachers and their children. There are only three locations, one at each of the high schools. We put Faith and Jaxon on the waiting list pretty early to try to get in quickly when we first moved to McKinney. As most of you know, Faith started preschool on her third birthday this past January, but I was driving across town to get her to one of the other high schools. You can't choose what high school you get, it just depends on which location has an opening. Well, at the end of the year I put in for a transfer for Faith to go to Shawn's school and she got in. Thank you, Jesus! Well, we've been praying all summer long that one, it would be Jaxon's turn to come up on the waiting list, and, two, that he would get into Shawn's school so that he could be with Faith. We got the big phone call this summer telling us that we were being offered a position at Shawn's school this year for Jaxon! God is so good! We were super excited. So, now every morning, I'll be dropping both kiddos off at the same preschool.

All of that to say, this morning we had meet the teacher. All of their teachers were super sweet and so excited for the new school year with the kids. We made name tags for the kids lockers, got their pictures made, and then we were sent on a scavenger hunt around their classrooms. After finishing the scavenger hunt, the kids were awarded with a coloring book, snack, and juice. Totally up my kids' alley!! As soon as we got home they were very excited to color in their new coloring books. All the pages were coloring book page images of their teachers' faces and them just being goofy. It was too cute!
Being silly before going to MTT--I just had to throw this one in there.

Here's their new lockers. Trying out the playground equipment

We hope all of our family and friends have a great school year!!!

That is so neat! Sounds like a great place and I am so happy they are together at Shawn's school. You'll have to email me a picture of the scavenger hunt and coloring book. I am very curious. I have done a scavenger hunt with my 1st graders but never PreK. It sounds fun!
