Thanksgiving 2009

This year, we headed to Longview, to spend Thanksgiving with Shawn's side of the family. We stayed there for three days and had a great time being with family and friends, eating great food, and reflecting on God's great blessings.

These next few pictures are just pictures we took while riding around on the land.

This cow was some major entertainment. The kids would yell, "MOO!" The cow played his part perfectly, mooing right after they did. Cheap entertainment, I tell ya.

Faith thought she was pretty cool not having to wear a seatbelt while we rode around on the land.

Shawn had to teach the kids a quick lesson on the difference between a male and female deer. Everytime they saw any deer they would start singing, Doe, a deer, a female deer...
He is one of the oldest bucks out there. God painted a beautiful sky to end our evening.

Thanksgiving Eve, we got together with our friends, Jason and Becca. We had a wonderful dinner at Shogun in Longview, and then went back to their house and played a game. I don't think I have laughed so hard, so many times, in a while. Afterall, the objective of the game was laughter, and we definitely met that goal. The game was called, The Game of Things...I highly recommend it!

Just us before leaving for our double date.
A quick picture of all of us at the end of the evening.
