Magic Time Machine

Shawn and Jaxon's birthdays are just two days apart, so on Sunday we decided to go to Magic Time Machine to celebrate. I have always heard that the food is pretty good, and that it's a great place for kids, since the waiters and waitresses dress up like familiar characters. When we were seated, we were informed that our server would be Mr. D. I looked at Shawn and said, "Who is Mr. D; I don't recognize that name from any story or movie?" Seconds later, we found out that Mr. D is the Devil waiter. His face was painted red, he had the horns, the tail, the entire Beelzebub ensemble. The kids were not scared but had several lingering questions on their mind. Immediately Faith asked, "What are those horns for?" Jaxon asked, "Why is your face red?" He quickly came up with answers that would appease them. Luckily we didn't have to hang out with Mr. D for that long. Faith and Jaxon were given autograph cards, so after we ordered our food; the kids went around finding the other characters for autographs. I was never happier to see Mr. Incredible, Captain Jack Sparrow, Cinderella and Belle. All in all, it was a different but fun experience. Shawn enjoyed the Adam's rib that he ordered, and my grilled chicken and veggies was phenomenal. I highly recommend going to MTM, but you might want to ask ahead of time whose section you might be seated in...Mr. D was not really what we had in mind.
