Today our little family headed to the city of Pilot Point to take advantage of Isle du Bois beach. We arrived at 9 A.M. and had the beautiful beach all to ourselves. The Hylander family joined us shortly after. We had such a great time swimming, building sandcastles, and playing. The weather was perfect with some cloud coverage, so it wasn't extremely hot. All day long there was a gentle breeze. After staying for almost four hours, we took advantage of their showers (which were very nice), changed clothes, and headed to Denton for lunch at Catfish King.
The night before, we told the kids we had a big surprise for them in the morning. When they woke up, they each got to open four, small gifts that were hints to reveal the big surprise. They were stoked when they found out the beach was going to come to fruition today. I was glad that the kids were putting to practice all they'd learned in swimming lessons the last week. We can't wait to go back to this place and utilize some of the other fun things there. It's such a fun, little getaway less than 45-minutes from McKinney.
