Tonight we went to a football party to celebrate an end to a good season of flag football. The guys lost the championship game and finished second in the league. The hosts grilled and everyone else brought over sides and snacks. Little did our husbands know that their wives/girlfriends had some tricks up their sleeves. Everyone filled out a nomination sheet to decide who they thought was our season MVP, along with the player with the best attitude and most touchdowns. We had little, football trophies for the winners, as well. After the awards were presented, we slipped in a DVD slide show with pictures of all the guys in action (to the tune of, I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston). Yes, we had to add a little humor to the whole shindig. It was a great night, and I'm so glad that Shawn gets to keep in touch with all of his football buddies from UNT. There's another season starting up this summer, so stay tuned for some posts from The Village Idiots in action.
