...I remember as a little girl sitting in front of the TV and watching The Smurfs. It was hands-down, my favorite cartoon. I always pretended like I was Smurfette and there seriously wasn't an episode that I missed--this was back when sitting too close to the TV was bad for your eyes, and before watching too much TV could deteriorate your brain. ;)
So, the kids and I have been watching some episodes on TV here and there so I could introduce them to the Smurf family and the evil, Gargamel and Azrael. Today, I actually took them to see the movie and they absolutely loved it. Our first stop was to McDonald's to buy two Smurf toys, so they could take their new friends to the movies with them. Faith got Smurfette, and Jaxon got Clumsy (the only male they had today, but surprisingly the hero of the movie). Hopefully we can collect them all as the Smurfs will always be near and dear to my childish heart.
