Christmas Eve Traditions

I love tradition, perhaps that's part of the reason why I love Christmas so much...all the tradition.  Some, I did when I was a kid and have elected to pass it on to my children, and others I've adopted as some of our own.  And, occasionally, I like to change things up a bit and do things differently, but this year, the kids did that for me.  In lieu of making cookies for Santa, the kids begged me to give him carrots and broccoli with his milk, to help out with his health and belly situation.  So, no baking for us this year, just a quick trip to the refrigerator and we were done!  I guess I'll use the cookie idea I got from Pinterest some other year.   Here's how our evening started and ended...

Faith and Jaxon put food out for the reindeer.

Pouring milk for Santa--it's a team effort.

Yep, I covered the cookies part of the plate with broccoli...here's to your health, Santa.

It was fun tracking Santa up until bedtime...he didn't make it to the US of A until 9:00--the kids were already asleep then.

The Night Before Christmas, is always read by Shawn to the kids.

Visions of sugarplums danced in her head....

...and whoops...mommy's light was a little too bright...sorry little buddy!

Merry CHRISTmas to all, and to all a goodnight!!!
