Landscaping Completion

I am so pleased with the way our landscaping turned out.  We hired in a local crew from Farmersville, Oak Grove, who also does all of McKinney's landscaping, and definitely scored big with them in the landscaping department. They also did our irrigation system, I've never seen so many sprinkler heads and we have thirteen zones for our yard...WOW!  I learned so much throughout this process.  From the moment they gave us our landscaping design, I was busy researching the best kind of plants for our soil, year-round climate, etc.  We went with all perennials as far as the flower gardens in the front go and we've got so many different types of flowers, flowering trees, grasses, and shrubs.  We put five shade trees in the backyard, red oaks, to be exact.  Shawn's requirement was that he and Jaxon would have enough room to throw the football to where no trees would interfere.  And, as you can see from the pictures below, we put two red oaks in the front yard, too!  I am very excited for the crape myrtles to bloom, I chose two red ones, one purple, and one white.  After all was said and done, Shawn got out there and put some Bermuda seed down, so hopefully where you see dirt; they'll be grass there soon.  Here she grows!!

We have ourselves a new tradition that is born...I plan on taking their pictures in front of this tree in the years to come.
